Young Audiences is moving! After over ten years of working in the Point Loma Nazarene University satellite offices, we have decided to relocate. Our new location is in the intimate community setting of Normal Heights at the United Methodist Church on Mansfield Ave (35th and Adams Ave). We are renting out the second floor and will have access to several rooms.

Our official move in date is Feb 22nd, 2012.

We are thrilled to be in the heart of a beautiful neighborhood, walking distance to some fantastic coffee shops, parks and restaurants.

I am pleased with the progress we have made using LiveStream simulcasting!

As you can see, starting the broadcast early makes viewers fast forward (hopefully they will). Bottom Line.....we can now reach up to 100,000 live viewers online and 30 million via our advanced aggregators. WE HAVE SUCCESSFULLY TURNED BETA TV CAMS INTO WEBCAMS!

For Joe: George did not get a sign in sheet for all the volunteers last night. I want to make sure I have their contact information so I can send them their certificates. Please acquire the phone numbers and emails for your friends so I can send them their certificates....in fact, can you send me a list of all the numbers and emails of your crew that you want to get certificates?

Each volunteer who arrives before 6:45 for our evening broadcasts and 9:45 for our morning productions will receive a training certificate worth $127.

We have an opportunity to put our programs on Inglewood Public Access, Santa Anna Public Access and Los Angeles Public Access!

It looks like more San Diego County cities will be put off of COX in 2013. We will all be migrating to Time Warner sooner or later. The only way we can take our shows from Time Warner and put them on COX is to have a resident from one of the approved cities take the half day Special Producer's orientation and take our shows over there. Right now that includes San Marcos, Solana Beach, Encinitas and Chula Vista.

I encourage you to develop business relationships with amenable people in these areas as soon as you can.

I have NEW technology now that will knock your socks off! I have the new OffIcePro suite!

Love Crimes of Kabul
Jailed for running away from home to escape abuse, for allegations of adultery, and other "moral crimes," the women of Afghanistan's Badum Bagh prison band together to fight for their freedom. The film follows three young prisoners as they go to trial, revealing the pressures and paradoxes that women in Afghanistan face today, and the dangerous consequences of refusing to fit into society's norms.

Based on seven hours of video footage recently declassified by the Canadian courts, this documentary delves into the unfolding high-stakes game of cat and mouse between captor and captive over a four-day period.

This could be a great event for your meet up group members to attend, given your interests.

SYHC is dedicated to providing excellence in health care services and programs for all people of all ages - from infants to seniors. We are currently recruiting for van driver for our Healthy Steps shuttle.

Position Summary
Shuttle Driver, will be responsible for pick-up of unit from storage parking on a daily basis. Shuttle Driver will provide safe and reliable curb-to-curb transportation to all program participants from the resident's home and the clinic sites. Maintains shuttle clean and in optimum working order as warranted by owner's manuals. Completes daily log for unit basics and safety of parked vehicles.

Essential Functions of the Job:
1. Participates as team member for Healthy Steps/Healthy Connection Program.
2. Assures that Shuttle is at designated site in a safe and timely manner.
3. Assures that all vehicle functions are maintained.
4. Provides daily log for vehicle maintenance.
6. Is familiar with owner's manual to assure vehicle is up kept on schedule and on track
with warranty requirements.
7. Maintains close communication with dispatcher.

Job Requirements

Education Required: High School Diploma, higher, or equivalent.

Certifications/Licenses Required: Valid California Class B Commercial with Passenger Endorsement Driver's License and proof of current insurance.

Experience Required: Clean driving record. Over 21 years of age with a minimum of 3 years of experience driving a Mobile Unit, bus, truck or vehicle of comparable size and length. Must have minimum of 5 years experience as a licensed driver.

Equipment Used: Twelve-passenger van, computer, fax, copier, and other office equipment.

Working Conditions and Physical Requirements: Physical activities include prolonged periods of sitting. Frequent standing and walking. Occasional lifting approximately 20 to 30 pounds.

Driving of personal vehicle and Healthy Steps Shuttle. May be required to work evenings and/or weekends.

They celebrated in glee as leader after leader, government after government came under pressure in The Middle East as the Arab Spring unfolded. Now, enter the American Fall. The Occupy Movement is well underway and appears to be here to stay. Mainstream media puppets voice the same message, "They are not stating a clear objective", as if they do not understand the plight of the American people.

The grievances are quite clear to those who care.

Millions of Americans have had their homes stolen by banks in foreclosure actions, the same banks that received bail out tax dollars. Insurance company lobbyists have ensured that millions of American citizens are impeded from acquiring quality health care. Food prices continue to skyrocket; a bag of frozen strawberries can cost $11.00. Greedy gasoline companies fuel cars and inflated prices by increasing prices to over $4.00 per gallon for gasoline.

While half the American population suffers in poverty/low income 3, the Huffington Post reports that CEO pay has risen 27 to 40 percent in just the last year 1. An Associated Press report indicated that "Among those requesting emergency food assistance, 51 percent were in families, 26 percent were employed, 19 percent were elderly and 11 percent were homeless.3"

A CEO making $5 Million Dollars a year is making $13699.00 per day.

In California, The National Center for Children in Poverty sights the low income level for a family of four at $44,100 per year2, a little more than three days pay for an average CEO. The same report indicates that 54% of Black children (280,607), 60% of Hispanic children (2,759,940), 28% of Asian children (267,505), 54% of Native American children (16,267) and 22% of White children (586,846) live in low-income families in California.

Elderly people who survived World War II and the violent 20^th century are now finding themselves turned away when they need help to eat; a national shame.

These statistics are staggering. In San Diego County, El Cajon has consistently been at the top of the poverty list on the Center for Policy Initiative poverty reports.

While the greedy million dollar CEOs of American companies flourish in their offices in New York, Chicago, Los Angeles and San Diego, their gift of poverty spreads on an international level. In the Congo, the living wage is $300 per month4. Most workers make less than a dollar a day in gold mines and other dangerous jobs in which children are used in labor. If a $5 million dollar CEO gave up just one day's pay, 46 families in The Congo would have living wages for a month.

Migrant workers are paid only a fraction of a living wage in the United States and worldwide. Large corporations like Philipp Morris and Sara Lee victimize poor people worldwide in the coffee, food and tobacco industries with low wages while CEOs get huge bonuses7, 8.

According to a recent report in the Nation of Change, in 2010 17.2 million American households suffered hunger (classified as food insecure)5 – the highest level on record.

According to Wikipedia, the top 1% saw their incomes rise 275% between 2007 and 2010. The bottom fifth saw an increase of only 18%6

The food industry is poisoning the American people with automated processes and imports from overseas markets that do not observe food safety.

A recent report by Dr. OZ supported by Consumer Reports confirms that apple juice imported from China and other countries contains more than six times the allowed amount of arsenic. The highest levels were reportedly found in Gerber Baby apple juice 9. The way wheat is processed in this country is resulting in the deaths of many Americans as indicated in a report by M.H. Panhwar 10.

There are numerous reports of lead toys from China and poisoned candy from Mexico and antifreeze in imported toothpaste..all in the name of saving a buck in processing. Republican efforts to stall leadership appointments in consumer protection agencies are criminal. Our government has failed to protect the American people from corporate greed.

Government officials eagerly send American young people to die overseas in campaigns to promote "freedom" and voting rights.

These same officials are attempting to eliminate as many young people's rights to vote in America by employing voter suppression 11, 12. GOP officials in many states are targeting the population segments that are likely to vote for Democrats by developing aggressive suppression tactics.

These include creating tougher voter ID requirements; young people with college not state IDs because they are studying in a new state, elderly people who do not have birth certificates because they were not issued one at the time of birth. Hurdles are being created to stop people from getting state IDs including charging $200 for birth certificates and steep fees for IDs to target the poor, minorities and poor Whites.

GOP officials are attempting to intimidate voter registration groups like Acorn and the League of Women Voters by using steep fines for minor registration errors. They are also attempting to eliminate same-day registration. They want to curtail early voting and ban previously convicted people from voting as Florida did during the Bush election by throwing out thousands of legitimate voter's ballots.

State budgets for polling and registration offices have been gutted due to tight funds. People who have lost jobs and suffered foreclosed homes are finding their lives in upheaval. Many have new addresses and cannot register or they will wait until the last minute to register and find that they cannot due to ID requirements.

So while young Americans go overseas to fight wars for the Corporatocracy to ensure the safety and voting rights of foreign citizens, more young people are dying on the streets of Chicago and New Orleans monthly than in all the service men killed in all of the current wars. These deaths are the result of misguided drug laws that punish citizens perpetually and waste tax payer money.

While mainstream news puppets continue to show the destruction of the American family as a failure of "moral" standards, they fail to point out the corruption of the family court systems. CPS and family court judges as well as other attorneys are making salaries averaging $149,000 per year and up. One does not have to look far to see the numerous Facebook groups and other grassroots organizations that are bringing the criminal activity of the family courts to the forefront. A good example of this is the California Coalition for Families and Children http://www.thepubliccourt.com 13.

In a barbaric method, this country continues to allow a court system to put people to death even when it cannot fairly decide minor divorce cases. This country still puts people in prison for having a plant while allowing toxic alcohol and cigarettes to remain on the market.

The American people have a plethora of legitimate complaints regarding their liberty, pursuit of happiness and financial well being. We saw the Arab Spring. Now, we see the American Fall. Could this be an indication of the fall of America or, are the American people approaching a much more humane, higher level of civilization? Do the American people have the temerity to demand a civilization where people are valued more than money?

The UN's convention against torture defines torture as: "Any act by
which severe pain or suffering, whether physical or mental, is
intentionally inflicted on a person for such purposes as obtaining
from him or a third person, information or a confession, punishing him
for an act he or a third person has committed or is suspected of
having committed, or intimidating or coercing him or a third person,
or for any reason based on discrimination of any kind, when such pain
or suffering is inflicted by or at the instigation of or with the
consent or acquiescence of a public official or other person acting in
an official capacity. It does not include pain or suffering arising
only from, inherent in or incidental to lawful sanctions."
Dictionary.com defines it as: "1. extreme pain 2. the infliction of
great pain, especially. for punishment or coercion 3. Extreme anguish
of body or mind.
The UN's Convention on Torture also specifically mentions
"waterboarding" as a form of torture. A practice in which the US hung
Japanese soldiers for employing on POWs during WWII. So why is it ok
for the US to employ the same "enhanced interrogation" tactics on
suspected terrorists in order to gain information on the whereabouts
of a US trained terrorist group leader? The answer is simple... Its
not. Torture is a crime no matter who tries to justify it and for
whatever reason. Former VP Dick Chaney openly admitted to using
"waterboarding" on national television in order to "to obtain
important information" on Osama Bin Laden. A feat that proved futile
in the end as the information that was obtained was gathered through
more "conventional interrogation" tactics. Please either follow or

trial before the ICC for committing crimes of torture.

It's been happening for years. A militia commander orders his troops
to raid a village, rape and kill the women, murder the men and seniors
and take all the able bodied children who are between the ages of 10
and 17 and bring them back to the camp so they can be brainwashed and
trained to be cold blooded killers. These children shoot guns that
are bigger than they are, are ruthlessly sworn to undying allegiance
to whichever specific fascist dictator happens to get to them 1st and
some even made to kill their own family. They're robbed of their
childhood, forced to commit atrocities and massacres that would bring
most grown men to their knees and are tortured if they even try asking
why. Only this time, not only is it being funded by the US government
but, President Obama passed a waiver in early October, 2011 to make it
legal. That's right, there's a law that prevents America from
providing any military assistance, financially or otherwise, to
governments that use child soldiers. But President Obama announced
waivers to the Child Soldiers Prevention Act allowing military
assistance to 4 different countries that the State Department
determined still use child soldiers. Its despicable and unacceptable.

Shuttlesworth headed a church just down the street from mine....16th Street Baptist....It was bombed because Shuttlesworth and Dr. King held meetings there every Monday night. All my family survived. We need your help at the Capitol today.

In July, we asked you to tell your U.S. senators to take a stand against slavery by supporting the Trafficking Victims Protection Reauthorization Act. Many of you did just that, and 15 senators are now officially sponsoring the bill. Your action brought us one step closer to victory.

Now it's time to mobilize the House of Representatives. We need them to move quickly, and to make the same improvements in their bill that we've already asked for in the Senate.

Let's break our connection to slavery! We need to remove it from the products we buy, the clothes we wear and the cars we drive. There are thousands of slaves in America and millions more around the world.

What can you do? Call or e-mail your U.S. representative. Urge them to support the Trafficking Victims Protection Reauthorization Act (H.R.2830). It's easy to find your representative's contact info at the top right corner of the House of Representatives website.

Here's what you can say to their receptionists, aides or voicemails:

"My name is ___ and I live in your district. I'm calling to ask the congressman/congresswoman to co-sponsor H.R.2830, the Trafficking Victims Protection Reauthorization Act (TVPRA). I also want to ask him/her to strengthen the act, by requiring major companies to disclose on their websites and in annual reports to the Securities and Exchange Commission what they're doing to end trafficking and slavery. The congressman/congresswoman can do this by including provisions of H.R.2759, the Business Transparency on Slavery and Trafficking Act, into the TVPRA."

The Trafficking Victims Protection Reauthorization Act ensures the U.S. will remain a world leader in combating slavery. It directs authorities to raid brothels and sweatshops, freeing slaves and prosecuting slaveholders. It enables rescue shelters and rehabilitation programs to operate, inside the U.S. and overseas. The act helps Free the Slaves conduct programs that you support in India and Haiti.

This landmark anti-slavery initiative was created by Congress 10 years ago, but the act expires soon and must be renewed. Any delay could jeopardize the remarkable progress the U.S. has made.

This critical legislation is pending right now. Your voice could make the difference in ensuring the U.S. continues to fight trafficking and slavery. Your representative needs to hear from you today.

The kits are coming from a Los Angeles Coalition that I have been working with for several months.

They are supposed to be supportive of tutoring kids K-12.

We do not have possession of the kits yet. I expect to get them within the coming weeks.

I just wanted to get a sense of interest...and it has been great!

As soon as I get more information...I will notify EVERYONE immediately.

I will not be able to assist with storage, transport or mailing of the kits.....some are already requesting I take this step. I am simply acting as an information conduit and coordinator.

Due to my affiliation with a coalition of coalitions in Los Angeles I have been coordinating large donations of food, furniture and other items from large offices that are liquidating or simply obtaining new furnishings.

I have fifty gently used chairs and desks along with 500,000 educational kits for children. The Furniture is located in the Claremont area.

Walter, good luck with Filner. I have become very disappointed with
him ever since he led many people in the retired military
establishment to think he would promote the idea of using that vacant
hospital in PT Loma for veterans assistance and care. Many people
worked really hard to prove to him the need for such a facility and
even when many came forward he totally ignored their requests for
utilizing the building. He met with many people and sounded very
interested in the idea, similar to the yearly stand down done for the
military. But in the end no one could get his attention, even former
supporters, to promote the idea in congress, on the committee of which
he was the chairman. I am sure you know that we will and do need more
help for all military personnel exposed to the problems of war and the
possiblity of ptsd.especially in this town You should ask him about
his indifference to these problems and this passed up indifference to
such a great possible facility for these young people. Keep up the

most of these accounts had been dormant since 10 to 15 years and majority belonged to Investors

in UAE who are Victims of plane crashes and sudden deaths.

The continuing efforts of the Independent Committee of Eminent Persons (ICEP) have since resulted

in the discovery of more and more additional dormant accounts belonging to a few Military dictators

and some sit-tight leaders of North Africa and the Middle East.

The published lists contained all types of dormant accounts, including interest-bearing savings

accounts,securities accounts, safe deposit boxes,numbered accounts,un-numbered coded accounts,

and non-interest-bearing transaction accounts. Interestingly, so many more were not uncovered

(especially the un-numbered accounts), were as no claims came forth on even some of the ones

published as most of the beneficiaries perished alongside their heirs in the Plane Crash.

Regrettably, the UAE government have continued to sit on most of these unclaimed funds ever since

as provided by the law for management of assets of deceased beneficiaries who died interstate

(living no wills).

In My bank I have broken some codes, bugged the bank's database and have been able to view some

of these accounts and secured one of the deposit slip belonging to A German businessman and real

estate that died with his entire family in one of the plane crash recently.

I need a foreigner or any account holder outside of UAE to partner with me in the transfer of funds out

of this account. I already have a secure and encrypted cross-border wire transfer platform which

guarantees safe transactions.

All that is required is for us to discuss this if you are interested, more details shall be given to you

My name is Dr. Philip Ezoma the Contract Award Committee Chairman in the Nigerian National Petroleum Cooperation (NNPC). It is my pleasure to make this mutually benefiting business proposal to you.
Early last year there was a major oil spillage in the Niger Delta Region of Nigeria which rendered over 70% of the communities homeless. So the federal government decided to lease the three existing petroleum refineries to private individuals and companies to make the refineries more viable, resourceful and to eliminate undue wastage and fraud. So contracts were awarded to a foreign firm for the repair and construction of new refineries, but because of the huge monetary profit we envisaged we decided to over-invoice the contract sum. Now the contract has been completed and the original contractor has since been paid, but the contract balance of US$83.5 million, which resulted from the over invoiced contract sum is been left in a suspense account with the CENTRAL BANK corresponding paying bank in Europe.
I have been assigned by my other colleagues to seek for assistance of a reliable foreigner through whom we can transfer this sum of US$83.5 million which arose from the deliberate over-inflated contract value. It does not matter whether you or your company does contract project of the nature described here, the assumption is that you won a major contract and subcontracted it to another company, more often non big trading companies or individuals of unrelated field win major contracts here and subcontracts same to more specialized firms for execution. So the nature of your business is not particularly relevant for the success of this transaction. All we require is your willingness as a foreigner to co-operate with us and assurance that our own share will be given to us when this money is transferred into your account. Then we shall use out position to secure all the government approvals in your favor to enable to transfer to your nominated bank account.
We have agreed that you will be entitled to 25% of the entire funds, 70% will be for us, while 5% will be set aside to cover any unforeseen expenses that may be incurred by both parties during this transaction, both local and international.
Please I enjoin you to handle this transaction with utmost degree of maturity and confidentiality because I am still in active government service with the "NIGERIAN NATIONAL PETROLEUM CORPORATION". All necessary precautions have been taken to ensure a no risk situation on the sides of both parties and it is believed that the conclusion of this transaction will not last more than 8 working days, since the money is already in transit account with the corresponding paying bank in Europe. However, we are going to retrieve the whole documents that will relate to this transaction after the transfer of the money into your account to avoid any trace of the money.

Dear Walter,

The U.S. Constitution placed the power to make war in the hands of our elected representatives in Congress. Their decision leaves us, the people, to compel our Senators and Representatives to accept their responsibility.

On May 26, the U.S. House amended the Defense Authorization Act of 2012 to state that its passage in no way authorizes the current war in Libya, and to prohibit the introduction of U.S. ground troops in Libya.

At the same time, the House rejected amendments that would have limited or ended U.S. warfare in Afghanistan, and rejected an amendment that would have stripped Section 1034 from the bill. That section is perhaps the most fundamental change to the structure of our federal government that has ever appeared likely to pass through Congress, as it would effectively give the power to make war to all future presidents.

TELL THE SENATE TO REMOVE SECTION 1034 AND UPHOLD GOOD AMENDMENTS.

This week the House delayed a vote on a resolution to end the Libya War, possibly out of concern that it might pass. No similar vote is yet planned in the Senate. Neither chamber has proposed any steps to hold anyone accountable for unconstitutional warmaking. We must push the House to vote on and pass House Concurrent Resolution 51 to end U.S. warfare in Libya.

TELL THE HOUSE TO END US WAR IN LIBYA.

The Libya War was sold to the public as a humanitarian intervention, but very quickly evolved into an effort to overthrow a government, using drones that bomb civilians, and ignoring pleas for peace. This war was never sold to Congress, and has never been declared or authorized. No legislation can make the launching of this war constitutional.

40,000 Signatures in Less than 30 Days; Referendum on City Council's Medical Marijuana Ordinance Enters Signature Verification Process

In April of this year, the San Diego City Council passed an ordinance that effectively denied safe access to thousands of patients in the city. If left as is, it would have negatively impacted the most vulnerable members of our community by cutting off access to their medicine.

As the ordinance is written, all locations where patients currently safely obtain their medicine, would be forced to shutter their doors and only a small handful would be allowed to open in far flung industrial areas of the City, only after coming into compliance with an onerous year-long conditional use permit process.

The City Council rather than considering amendments to the ordinance suggested by their own medical marijuana task force and thousands of concerned citizens who wrote letters as part of the City's largest letter writing campaign, on April 12 approved the restrictions and ignored the unprecedented public opposition.

After the City Council's ordinance took effect at the end of April and with only 30 days to circulate a petition to repeal the ordinance, a group of collective directors quickly organized and formed the Patient Care Association. Comprised of over 50 local medical marijuana collectives, the association within days raised enough funds to hire the La Jolla Group, a professional signature gathering company, and undertook a massive effort to gather enough signatures to repeal the ordinance through a referendum process.

San Diego Americans for Safe Access (ASA), the local chapter of the nation's largest medical marijuana patients' rights advocacy group, provided the association with direction and guidance on messaging as well as an alternative ordinance to propose to voters following the referendum. At the same time ASA's legal department began to gear up for a lawsuit with the city and on April 28, sent a letter to the City urging them to ease up their restriction or face a challenge in court.

As announced by San Diego ASA on May 4th, the referendum signature drive was underway and in less than 30 days, the La Jolla Group as well as all the collectives involved, gathered over 40,000 signatures, proving yet again the medical marijuana community in San Diego to be a serious political force.

The signatures are expected to be turned in to the City Clerk's office on Friday, May 26 and will effectively place on hold the overly restrictive ordinance passed by the council from becoming law in the City.

Once the Clerk's office turns the signatures over to the County's Registrar of Voters, the verification process will begin and as required by law must be completed within 30 days. If the registrar confirms there are enough valid signatures, the Council will be forced to make a decision; place their overly restrictive ordinance on the ballot for a vote of the people or repeal it at the next available council meeting.

If the City forces the referendum to a vote and decides against repealing the ordinance, depending on the date the signatures are determined valid by the Registrar of Voters, the City may have to call a special election costing millions, or instead place the ordinance on the June 2012 primary ballot for a vote.

As for the effort currently underway by Code Enforcement to shut the existing facilities down, according to the City Attorney's office, the status quo will be maintained. Landlords will continue to be harassed, patients will continue to face threats of lawsuits and intimidation, and they City Attorney plans on continuing to wage their war on patients. Their official position remains unchanged; the facilities currently operating would still be doing so without a valid business license and with no zoning in the City's municipal code to allow for their use.

The voting residents of San Diego overwhelmingly support safe and reliable access to medical cannabis for qualified patients in their neighborhood and are against the restrictions approved by the council as well as the effort to shut the existing facilities down. The San Diego community hopes the council will move forward with adopting the recommendations of the Medical Marijuana Task Force and amend the overly restrictive ordinance.

If the City refuses to respect the recommendations of their own task force and continues on the path to shut access down without providing a reasonable alternative, they will face continued litigation and the medical marijuana community plans on quickly moving forward with a voter initiative which would once and for all, create reasonable rules and clarity for patients in the City to follow.

Labor Dept. gives $3.3m to local job programs

Three groups will use the money to train youths for the workforce

Three local job training organizations won grants totaling $3.3 million from the U.S. Labor Department to train disadvantaged young people for careers that are in demand.

Able-Disabled Advocacy, the San Diego-Imperial Counties Labor Council and the Metropolitan Area Advisory Committee Project won grants of $1.1 million each as part of a $76 million project to create YouthBuild programs throughout the country.

YouthBuild is an alternative education program that offers individuals ages 16-24 training and practical experience for "in-demand" industry careers.

The program targets young people from 16 to 24 who either:

Dropped out of high school

Have gone through the juvenile justice system

Are emerging from foster care

Are at risk of failing to reach key educational milestones or opportunities that lead to good careers.

"Every day in America, 7,000 students drop out of high school," said Labor Secretary Hilda Solis. "Our nation cannot afford to lose these young people. YouthBuild provides an important second chance to earn an education while also developing valuable skills for the jobs of today and tomorrow."

In addition to receiving occupational skills training, participants can earn high school diplomas and GED certificates through the program and are also intended to develop leadership skills and contribute community service.

Since the Labor Department awarding its first grants in 2007, more than 16,000 youths have been involved YouthBuild programs nationwide

3. Identify necessary funding to accomplish goals.

Violence prevention can only be achieved fully by uniting police and public safety professionals with professionals from healthcare, education, welfare, liquor licesing authorities, and other sectors who can tek the actions needed to remove vor reduce the underlying causes and risk factors.
